I know this sounds stupid, but did you buy the mount made by go pro or just made for go pro? And second the suction cup won't suction directly to a dash board it should have came with an adhesive dash disk that you have to apply to the dash first. I have the suction mount and it holds on to windshields and vehicles superbly well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do realize that it's not a "dashboard" mount right? Dashboards have a bunch of small crevices (this is to help prevent cracking from the sun). Those crevices make using a suction cup really hard. Try mounting it to the window, I often mount mine behind the rear view mirror.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try sticking to your windshield, put a little water or whatever on suction cup, push down on cup initially setting the suction cup then turn lever to lock it in place. I stuck mine to my Corvette this way prior to running Silver State Classic, was still stuck to windshield a week later.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's possible that your mount is only compatible with sticking to glass or very smooth surfaces. A textured dashboard may not allow the right amount of flat smooth surface to mount properly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dashboard? They stick to windshields normally or a roll bar inside vehicles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would work better mounted on the window, the dash is not flat and smooth enough
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has to be mounted to a flat non pores surface like glass. My dash has small groves that are hard to see so I can't mount it to that either. I just mount it to my windshield.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will not work on a textured surface.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I couldn't get it to adhere, either.I ended up using masking tape on the base to ger it stay on the dash. This is a shame. Thr suction cup that came with the camera about a year ago worked fine - for about a year
