• There are many vague answers, but no one knows for sure. One possibility is that SMG2 has sections that require Yoshi gyro controls to swing from obstacle to obstacle, and these would be awkward to adapt to handheld mode. Another unlikely possibility is that the game is “too difficult,” which is a rumor I have heard Miyomoto say. This game definitely deserves to be in this collection though.
