“Do i HAVE TO HAVE this connected to wifi or ethernet to be able to get push alerts on my phone? Or, Will i need to have my computer hooked into it. Basically my slumlord controls the internet.. he has already booted out my security cams. Help please?”

If you would like to receive push notifications or remotely access your device, you will need to be connected to a wired internet connection. Once set up using a monitor, you can remotely access and receive notifications without a monitor.
