System is good, easy to setup. I bought two additional cameras to use all 8 channels. Swann app works good, easy to configure and uses very little bandwidth. I recommend this product. Also I did need to contact their tech support, very good service, very helpful and knowledgeable engineers.

These cameras are really good cameras. They have a really good picture. The app to view on your mobile phone was extremely easy to use. Wish the camera pivoted without having to unscrew them to make it easier to get the right view. But other than that glad my husband and I purchased this brand.

I keep getting black screens on my monitor display. I can only see my cameras via their mobile application. Definitely not user error either. I’ve reset the unit and tried mutual email cables for HDMI and cables to the cameras. Nothing seems to fix the issue.

Terrible connection Can’t even read what it said just a waste of time

I replaced an older camera system with this one. Video is clear, night vision is great. I like the ability to configure activating the led light when motion is detected. I had some issues with the hard drive initially but reseating the hard drive cables seemed to resolve that issue. The app, on the other hand, needs a bit of work. It’s somewhat slow to connect and display the feeds and when switching from one camera to the next it doesn’t always connect. I have to swipe back and forth in order to connect to the specific camera. I’d also prefer to have an option to always display in high quality versus the default low quality viewing mode. Other than that, I think this is a great system for the money and I would definitely recommend these.

Bought these cameras when they were on sale. I had to swap out the wireless ones I had since I kept losing signal. The cameras were easy to install just need the tools. Easy to connect and set up. The only thing that does bother me is the app. The instructions tell you to download one app but they would connect, so I downloaded another and have been working with it since.

Had a Q-see, but switched to this system since Q-See went out of business and no longer supports remote viewing. First thing that I noticed is that the cameras have a plastic housing and no cover. We'll have to see how the cameras hold up to the weather. Q-see cameras had a metal housing and cover. There are 3 separate adjustments to position the cameras. Kind of a hassle especially when adjusting side to side. A feature that I do like is that these cameras have thermal sensing and thus are not triggered by all movement. However, if there is enough movement such as on a windy day, then swaying branches will trigger the camera. Another feature is the spotlight and color night vision. The verdict is still out on these features though as using the spotlight seems to cause loss of detail even if the picture is now in color. Also, the spotlight is bright enough to enable night color, but the picture is overall dark. There are adjustable picture settings on each camera so perhaps playing with these settings will yield better views. The DVR is near silent which is very much appreciated since the prior system had a noisy fan. Phone app works well and was very easy to connect. PC App for Windows 10 was also easy to connect. Except phone app and Windows 10 app have different controls and capabilities. It would have been nice to keep everything consistent between both apps and the primary monitor. An example is that I can turn the spotlight on with the phone app, but that doesn't seem possible with the PC app. Also haven't figured out how to playback clips using the PC app. There are a lot of features with the Swann system. I'm still new to this system so I'm sure I'll discover more. Overall seems to be a good security camera system. Recommend.

The hardest part of setting up the security system is running the wires from the main box to the cameras. The video from the cameras are great! Being able to setup the area to be the alarm area is a plus. Recordings of motion/infrared detection are saved to a hard drive is a plus especially when the internet goes down. The app for the system is a bit tricky, but U tube has informative giving you what you need. What keeps from giving the system a 5star rating is that you can’t control notifications or emails from the app. This is the one main thing that Swann needs to correct.

Good picture. Easy to set up and use. Bought the other two cameras and hooked them to the system with no problem. Only wish the wires were longer but bought some off of Amazon.

I finally got them to work to an acceptable level. I guess they want me to use their Tech Support. Anyway, they provide a clear image and by the way, at night when the light comes on, you will see the image in color. The 90 degree angle is useful. I had to cover all exposed outdoor wiring with plastic shielding (outdoor?) I wouldn't recommend it to a friend because there are better out-of-the-box systems out there.

I upgraded my 10+ year old Samsung security system to this Swann security system and I am blown away by the difference. Sure, it's been 10 years or so but pixel quality, color and picture quality, framing, ect. everything is top notch with the Swann. The system was incredibly easy to install and I like how the programming also allows me to add additional cameras if I need to in the future. The DVR is equally easy to use and I have had no issues using the system onsite or remotely. Super happy with this product!

This system was pretty easy to set up. With the help of the app you can actually name each camera. The camera quality is good and I like that I can check the system if I am not home. We only needed two cameras at this time, but I like that I can add if needed.

hello and Hi, I have this system. At the moment, it's not having any problems. it's recording and doing play back as expected. cameras are clear. My problem is the app. Which is, it doesn't work with all or every cellphone. I asked the tech team and was basically told, I need to buy a better phone. which was and is not funny. A $800.00 Samsung galaxy is not compatible with this app???? What s really funny is the Verizon tech people said the itself is the problem. Not that it doesn't work. Just that it only works well with certain smartphone, not all of them. I just wished they would have said that in the advertisement. Not saying the creators of the app don't do a great job on this one. just make the next one work better and for all smart phones. Ok now, Swann-camera's, DVR's and NVR's, great! App's not so!

We purchased this system because we wanted additional security to our home. But after installing it, and learning ins and outs, if you require more technology, buy the 4K series because you have more control over specific functions that this one does not have. This system is good as an added piece of mind.

Great system. Before installing it is best to check how long each run will be. You can get longer 1 piece cables. I had to get three longer cables 50’ being the shortest length. Also had to get adapters. Not a big deal but a little more planning and forethought would have prevented my issue. But it all works well. The cat 5 cable went bad within two weeks. Buy or make your own. Luckily I made my own and all is good. Rey happy.

I have had all 10 cameras installed and working for several months now. One is outside, the rest are inside. I am very happy with the ease of installation and configuration. With all 9 inside cameras, I have motion and heat detection enabled for recording and have them set to email me between 11PM and 6AM if anything is detected. This is working very well and is reliable. The outside camera is just set to motion detect recording. I get about 30 days of recordings. The outside camera records almost constantly at night due to the IR detection "sees" all the dust particles. That happens with most cameras. The hardest thing as with any system is running cables and mounting the cameras. The phone app has worked very well.

This camara system is incredibly easy to set up and use. Super clear images through your phone and even better on TV. If you're stuck between these and the night owl, do not hesitate to pick up this set. You won't regret it

Installation is straight forward and quality is excellent and I would highly recommend this system. Swann has a good support system as well. Unfortunately for me Best Buy decided to sell me a used and returned system as brand new and when I finished installing the cameras and starting up the DVR I found that I could not put a password in as the DVR already had a password that someone else had put in. I doubt that I will likely make any future purchases of this dollar amount at Best Buy ever again. Sam's Club sells the system camera system which I would have bought but they were out of stock at the time that I wanted to purchase it. I would have given an excellent overall rating for the system but Best Buy ruined that for Swann.
