• Yes. I used a cable from headphone jack to line in on wireless speaker and solved the volume issue (if you're willing to lug around extra speaker with your portable DVD player).

• Yes. I've used my Canz 808 speaker both with cord and with a bluetooth transmitter with no problems.

• I haven't had the need for an external speaker, but I think it could serve. The earphones work fine, and there is included a hookup for a TV connection.

• Yes, you can use the AUX cable that's included to connect to external speakers. We hooked ours up to the car AUX to hear over the car audio.
