• Connecting external devices, like a cable box, does not alter how you access the smart features and streaming channels on your TV. You would simply need to go to the Home screen on your TV by pressing the Home button on the remote, and navigate to the input or streaming channel/app that you want to use. Hope this helps! • Not really: you will just make sure the cable box is powered up. When you power up the TCL Smart TV, you will toggle between your streaming apps, or the cable box with the TCL remote....The TCL is very intuitive. Until you cut the cord, you will have two remotes... - Pete
