“I read someone said that hooking up the Roku coast $300. Then in another spot it said it was free. Which is it? I'm thinking of purchasing a tv like this.”

Roku is included, free of cost.

In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free).
