• I do stream from Amazon and I am getting a Firestick. I also have an HD antenna. Getting this TV and cancelling cable was the best decision.

• You will need an Amazon account for your home screen and settings. Prime does not seem to be a prerequisite for use of the TV, though it does limit one's free streaming options through Amazon video. Any number of streaming services can also be added as additional apps - Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll, HBO, etc. However, you will need an account in order to use most of them.
