“The description says it will show JPEG's via the USB. I am assuming it has some sort of slide show app built it, but I don't want to bet on my assumption. Does it have a slide show app?”

I haven't tried this feature yet, but if you select USB on the inputs, it should play a slideshow of images on the flash drive.
