• You can use this with an external antenna for over the air (OTA) local channels. However, to maximize the features of this set, you need wifi access and an Amazon account (free). You do NOT need to be a member of Amazon Prime. If you do not have internet service, you should consider another brand.

• Danny, yes you do need a internet connection.... Don't waste your money...….Horrible TV...
