How is sound quality? null

The first answer is wrong. Using the digital audio output you can hook it up to your stereo and still use the onboard speakers at the same time. One can then control the volume's separately.

It's ok from the TV, but you cannot hook up a sound system or sound bar and have it play from the TV and the sound system simultaneously. It's either one or another which, in my opinion, makes all Toshiba tvs subpar, it's home entertainment, you should be able to attach multiple sound sources for the best sound. Not possible with Toshiba

Surprisingly good. I do have it running through some bookshelf Polk speakers when watching satellite TV. But I have to use TV sound when streaming and I’ve been very happy. Way better than my old Samsung TV.
