Can YouTube be watched on this? How about gmail? null

Sure can. As well as all the other standard options for streaming etc.. I actually find the fire tv software to be pretty intuitive and decently fast for what it is (a cheap flat screen/comparatively). Lighting options on the screen leave a bit to be desire would prefer more simple night mode etc but all in all a steal for the price. Would recommend under the $350 price point. Also fire tv does feature the Apple TV app. For many people that won’t matter but I wanted a set that had that option.

Yes, you can watch YouTube and use the Silk Browser app to surf the web.

Yes on you tube. Pretty sure gmail can be accessed but have not tried
