Do you need a sound bar for this? null

That's a very definitive "Yes!" Not only is it hard to hear the sound coming from the TV, but the sound is very annoying. We played with all the different settings, trying to get it to a point we could tolerate, but it was in vain. I'm going to assume they skimped on the sound system to keep the price down. I'm still happy with the purchase. Most folks have sound bars now, anyway, so it would make sense, if that's what they did.
