A:Answer It is (I think) both. I think that the "Alexa" features are RF (via Bluetooth) and that there are definitely IR features, (again, I *think*) because it worked/works with my legacy IR remote...after going through a few different codes. YMMV, but hopefully I'm steering you into a correct direction.
