• Yes, through the app you can put the camera in the privacy mode where it will stop recording.

• You can turn it off. I use it to monitor my dog and I don’t use the recording feature.

• The Kasa Spot will only record when motion is detected, based on the motion detection parameters (sensitivity, activity zones, etc.) specified by the user within the Kasa Smart app. Regards, TP-Link Support
