The dimensions of the product are ( H X W X D ): 5.04 × 3.33 × 1.77 in (128 × 84.6 × 44.9 mm). All smart switches are thicker than standard switches. This is because the chassis houses the wi-fi and power modules. This can affect installation in switch boxes that have a lot of wires stuff into them. The included faceplate should staff flush to the wall. Where you might see a small gap is when a switch is used in a multi Gang switch box with standard non-smart switches installed. In such cases there may be a very small gap between the 3rd party faceplate used and the wall. It will not affect operation or the safety of the product.
