“I need a screen that will work for Daytime outdoor viewing. Think college football or derby watch parties that are aired during daylight hours, and being watched outdoors. Is this screen a good candidate for that?”

If you are projecting onto this screen, it needs to be dark to be able to actually see what's on the screen. Any light will dim the screen and make it hard to see. I would say this is not appropriate for daytime use outdoors.
