• I measured the outer legs to be 25.125" apart. So yes it would fit within the 26" width.

• I think it will fit. These are the measurements. The stands are 7 3/4 inches from front to back, and the width of the TV is 28 3/4 inches. However, from the outer edge of one of the stands to the outer edge of the other is 25 inches.
