There is one button on the back of the T.V. that controls power and also changes input. The remote must be used for volume.

There are buttons on the left side of the TV but on the back side not in the front. Also, it has only a power button, volume buttons and an input button, no channel changing buttons on the TV. It was kind of hard seeing the buttons at first, but once you know where they are it's fine. I hope this helps.

Sadly those buttons are on the rear of the TV, so I recommend a large-button universal remote.
