My SB36512-F6 has had no problem receiving up to 7.1 PCM audio from devices. And it can handle DOlby True HD at up to a 192Khz sampling rate. But I have not specifically used it with any nintendo consoles. With PS4 and Xbox I have. It has no problem accepting 7.1 PCM audio from my PS4 Pro. And Dolby Atmos from my Xbox One X.
