“The cleaning instructions say to use a teaspoon of bleach with a gallon of water in the base, I don't like using bleach, is there an alternative? Maybe white vinegar? The base is very small, I can't imagine it needing or accommodating a gallon of water?”

• You can clean the base with mixture of equal parts vinegar and water, per the manual. https://www.vornado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/LUCERNA.pdf Page18.

• Ahh, I see, you need to update the manuals or I have an older one, it clearly says "bleach" where the link you gave me says "vinegar" in the exact spot....I thought bleach was a bit excessive.
