The power cord is 6 feet long. For safety reasons, the heater should never be plugged into a secondary device such as a power strip, extension cord, surge protector, converter, or GFCI outlet. Vornado Whole Room Heaters operate at 1500 watts, which exceeds the safe operating capacity of these devices.
