Step 1: Press the MENU softkey when the telephone base is not in use.
Step 2: Press the SELECT softkey to select Answering sys.
Step 3: Press ▼/CID or ▲/DIR to select Mailbox 1 or Mailbox 2, then press the SELECT softkey. The corresponding icon, 1 or 2, flashes on the screen.
Step 4: Press ▼/CID or ▲/DIR to select Ans sys setup, then press the SELECT softkey.
Step 5: Press the SELECT softkey to select Call screening.

A:AnswerSandy - Yes, the ringer on the DS6151 can be turned off. You can also choose from 6 volume levels. To turn the ringer OFF, please follow the instructions below:
1. Press the MENU softkey in idle mode to enter the main menu.
2. Press ▼ or ▲ to scroll to Ringers, then press SELECT softkey.
3. Press SELECT softkey to select Ringer Volume.
4. Press ▼ or ▲ to choose Line 1, Line 2 or Lines 1 & 2. Then press the SELECT softkey.
5. Press ▼ or ▲ to adjust the ringer volume or press OFF softkey to turn off the ringer.

A:AnswerHi - The VTech DS6151 has 2 mailboxes, one per each line. It does not have a mailbox per extension unit. You may want to check the model VTech CM18445 system unit which does have auto attendant feature that will enable you to setup each extension unit its own mailbox. The expansion units compatible with the CM18445 are the models CM18045 and CM18245.
