“Why does the sound go off on the parent unit? I have to manually push the volume button to have sound. I want to continually hear the room the baby is is.”

Think I fixed it! Try changing your "VOX" sensitivity to "Highest". That will leave the sound on all the time. Any of the other settings you will only hear when the baby makes sounds at the volume sensitivity selected. Good luck!
