Hi there, thank you for asking. While other models of the HP Envy laptops that work, we have not tested different models. However, the Bamboo Ink Smart Stylus product works with 2-in-1 Windows devices that have built-in inside their hardware, either Wacom Active ES protocol (AES) or Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP). That said, yes you can use the Bamboo Ink Smart Stylus for drawing in the software being used for graphic illustration. I hope that helps! Best
