The ice is opaque, the water tastes fine as long as you change the filter when it's indicated
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ice from our machine is clear and has no odd taste. We're very satisfied with the ice quality.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you use the original filter the water taste fine and the ice is clear. I used a compatible filter and the water strim was really slow and the ice machine would not get enough water. But after I went back to the original everything is better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I actually had to go get some ice cubes to see. I never paid attention. My ice cubes are mostly "cloudy." But we live in an area where we get water from Lake Michigan. It is defined as "hard" water. Might depend on your water. The water tastes great. Love it! I love my refrigerator and I hope you like yours. One lesson I learned is to buy your filters right from Samsung. They have a website and sell them cheaper than the stores do. I tried an "off-brand" one, and it worked great, but I ran into a lot of trouble when I went to replace it. Don't buy anything except the ones right from Samsung. That's all I will do from now on. I had been buying Samsung ones at Best Buy, and they are pricey. Found a discount filter and tried that. When you replace that one, it can be hard to then put in another filter. Big trouble.. Enjoy your new refrigerator!!
