• It will still work, but the speed will max out at your 2.0 speeds.

• 3.0 cables function just fine at 2.0 speeds, your transfer rates will simply be at 2.0 levels. Also note that the cables are not interchangeable between drives, as the connection to the hard drive itself is different. Hope this helps.

• Absolutely, backwards compatible. You just won't get to take full advantage of USB 3.0 speed.

• It will work fine. The drive itself will function as intended, perhaps a little faster because the 2.0 will be transferring at full speed. But if you want an even faster transfer you will want to acquire a computer with 3.0 USBs because it's the new standard.
