• The disk makers buy power adapters from thrid parties they don't make them to my knowledge. I expect they can be interchanged without difficulty but I would label them just to be extra cautious.

• Yes its normal. I received the same. The voltages are all the same, just different style adapter. Nothing to worry about.

• What do you mean by different? Companies are constantly swapping power adapters around.. most of the WD have round inputs (which can vary in size) on the drive side and various types of bricks to plug into the wall.
