Will this work with a DISH DVR to store movies? null

I don't have DISH DVR but DISH should be able to answer that question.

Most likely not and this is usually due to copyright reasons. If you had a Tivo you could possibly do that but I am not sure as I've never owned a Tivo. But with a Cable or Satellite provider it isn't possible. With DirecTV though, I could be wrong... Maybe they do allow the customer to do that. Best way to find out is to google it using the cable boxes specific model number so you get the best result to your question. But as I previously stated... Copyright issues are the main reason why this isn't allowed through the cable companies.
