Can i set a password on it ? null

Yes, it comes with many free apps if you connect the drive and open a widow to it you should see WD Discovery. Click on it load the app the open the app WD Utilities. Then click on the settings icon in the upper right corner go to User Guide, the instructions for setting the password are there.

I do not know the answer to any of ya'lls questions....you will have to ask BEST BUY all of your questions..... I just love my little blue MY PASSPORT and what it saved for ME..
