Yes, it will work with a mac. All external drives work with a mac. Don't let anyone tell you different. The only thing you have to do is format it to Mac's standard.

You will see drives advertised as "works with mac" or "for mac". You can ignore all of that. Any hard drive will work with a mac. Computers talk in 1's and 0's. Nothing complex about it.

Yes I believe this will work for it. My brother used it on his old mac not sure of the year the computer was manufactured.

Yes, you can use this drive with Mac PCs, but you will need to reformat the drive before using it.
