• Yes it will. Even if it's not the version that says "Mac" compatible, you can format the drive via Disk Utilities and it will work perfectly fine. It will literally take 5 mins and there are more detailed instructions available online if you need some help.

• This external HD works great with Macs. I believe it has to be formatted for Macs though and thereafter wont work with Windows. Ask the Geeks.

• If you reformat to "exFAT," then the drive should be readable and writable by both PCs and Macs.

• It will but you will have to reconfigure it for the iMac. It would be best just to get the one for Mac. Less steps

• Yes, just use the sick utility app that is included in the hard drive to format it to either Mac or exfat to work with both windows and Mac
