“My son has Ryzen 5 gaming computer. He tried to download GTA on it. it said he didn't have enough storage (has no games on it yet) is this what I'm looking for to be able to download games? He got this gaming comp in April and hasn't gotten to play yet.”

Yes it has plenty of space for gta and other titles such as gta. Only thing to consider is gaming is currently transitioning to "SSD". A "Solid state drive" has drastically better performance resulting in superior downloads and load times.
