We used to have old microwave in that space but mine is less than 22 inches.

All I can tell you is that from the BOTTOM of my low profile microwave to range top is 20 inches. From the TOP of my microwave to range top is 30 inches. Hope this is helpful.

Hello KoKo! It would be 30" from the bottom of the cabinets above the range (the cabinet the microwave attaches to), not the bottom of the Microwave. Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.
