“The instructions don't say, is the only way to pause it by hitting the door "open" button or just opening the microwave manually? My old and work microwaves both have pause buttons but maybe newer waves went away from this?”

I brought this microwave for its sleek and fashionable buttons hidden. It serves its purpose. When the food is done it will chime a sound. Something to get use2.
