Hi Artist, this particular model Refrigerator doesn't come with an Icemaker installed and therefore will not need or require a water hook up. There is an optional kit available if you would like to add it later however. We hope this helps!

No you don't need a waterline hooked up. I just got this fridge and no waterline used.

No. It's optional. There is a water line on the refrigerator already but you have to connect it in order for it to work.
