I’m not sure what you mean by control lock I usually just start the dishwasher and then if it’s less than halfway through and I need to add something I simply open it up and it opens no problem and then add the item and then I press the start button wait for the countdown to begin and then shut it if yours is locking it may be a problem with the mechanism itself I didn’t even know there was a way to make it lock it may not supposed to be doing that at all
