Can you use a pan that isn't oval on the middle burner. null

Hello Maggie, the area of the pan may not effectively cook the items in the pan.

Probably not very effectively. I believe there are rectangular skillet inserts you can buy separately that are preferable for the middle burning. If you used a regular pan in the middle there would be an area that the pan doesn't cover. Additionally the flames on the center burner are smaller than the other burners. It's really just there for show.
