No- I bought a whirlpool range in August 2018. I have no idea what kind of igniter was in it. Now, in 2022 the oven is not working- it would preheat and then drop to a lower temperature. The oven would fill up with gas and the repairman stated I was lucky the door didn't blow off the range. He suggested I buy a range with the glow bar igniter. Is the one you mention in your answer to me similar to the one in the 2018 whirlpool? If so, I hesitate buying another range without being sure just what igniter is in it. I am going to buy a new range even though I feel they should last longer than the one I bought from Best Buy in August 2018. There is a record of my purchase at the main Best Buy office. Please explain for me the difference between a glow bar igniter and the one you mentioned in your answer to my earlier question. I do want to visit our local Best Buy and get a new range. Thank you for your assistance in this decision I need to make right away.
