Once AV1 is supported for the big streaming apps, it will be as good as the Nvida options. Currently, its H.264 encoding is not quite as good as NVENC. But it's defiantly quite good for me when streaming MW2 on twitch. The stream still looks good, and I'm getting much higher FPS in the game than my previous RTX 3080.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As AV1 is supported this will be a beast. For the longest time Nvidia was preferred for streaming as NVENC was superior to H264 and other encoding options, but AV1 has really opened up the market for other GPUs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.AMD added the AV1 video encoding feature with their Addrenaline software and in streaming/recording programs such as OBS. So long as the rest of your rig can keep up with this things power you should be more than capable of providing some of the highest quality streams. Also, be sure to check dimensions on this thing. I had to take out a front case fan and reinstall my my CPU cooler just to get this thing in my case.
