• No. to my knowledge there is no way to make this camera record locally. You might be able to hack the software/firmware, but as it comes out of the box, you hook it up to your wifi and it connects to Zmodo's server.

• Yes, as long as the NVR is from Zmodo as well. It only works with our NVRs.
