I'm a stickler for products that offer a great "price-to-performance ratio." If that was my only criteria for products, the Razer Battle Bundle would be perfect (assuming its on-sale price of $69.99 USD.) However, on closer inspection and with some use, the quality and ease of use of the bundle as a whole is brought into question. Overall: Great value at $69.99. Included peripherals are adequate if not above average. Aesthetics are classically oriented towards the gamer by Razer, but perhaps not too obnoxious for the office or home productivity user. I originally bought the bundle to be a mobile (laptop) peripheral kit, but the included mouse has become part of my permanent desktop setup. -DEATHADDER V2 Mouse- As a regular gamer who plays mostly competitive FPS's and has relatively large hands, the DeathAdder V2 has become my favorite mouse of all time. For almost 5 years I was accustomed to using the previous iteration, the DeathAdder V1, so I've been familiar with the feel and design of the mouse. The V2 is a welcome upgrade, featuring revamped button shapes on the top of the mouse, seemingly better durability (I cannot attest to long term use beyond 4 (four) months as of writing this review), and upgrades to the scroll wheel, grip tape, and cable. I never game above 800 DPI, but high-sens players will welcome its 20,000 DPI optical sensor, which has felt extremely precise. Combined with 100% PTFE feet, this mouse is designed for the competition. With such comfortable palmability, the DeathAdder V2 excels in longer session office and productivity applications, too. Of the three products that come in the Battle Bundle, the DeathAdder V2 is easily my favorite for its quality, shape, and features. Oh - let's not forget about it's fully customizable RGB, which can also be turned off in environments where it may be distracting. -BLACKSHARK V2 X- First and foremost, I am glasses user. I cannot see my computer screen in detail without my glasses. This is very important to this review, because, as a glasses wearer, the BlackShark V2 X just didn't make the cut as far as comfort goes. The muffs are too firm for me, causing the arms of my glasses to be pressed into my temple and under my ear. This becomes quite painful after around 30 minutes of use, and most gamers (including myself) will game for sessions upwards of an hour. The construction felt a little flimsy due to the thin wires, lack of tactile adjustment levels on the muffs, and some perceivable "plasticiness," but I cannot complain about an only-okay build quality for the on-sale price of the bundle. According to my Discord buddies, the microphone is clear enough, but not excellent. The headset is not lacking in features; I found the rotating volume nob and dedicated MUTE button both very useful and convenient. An included audio Y-split adapter may benefit some. The included carrying bag is helpful and fits the headset well, but the headset doesn't collapse enough to be an adequate travel piece. The BlackShark V2 X is definitely a shortfall of the bundle for a glasses user like myself, but I imagine they could be comfortable for a much longer period of time if glasses weren't in the equation. It is an acceptable headset, but I was disappointed with its build quality and glasses-compatibility. -GIGANTUS V2 M - BLACK- The thing is a mousepad. There isn't too much to say, other than that this is far superior to those old, plastic coated circular ones. In fact, the Gigantus V2 is above average in quality, with a nice smooth feel, good mouse glide, and welcomely minimal branding. For my case, it's compact enough to throw into a backpack for travel, but not too small to competitively play most games at low sensitivity. The Battle Bundle is definitely competitive and value-packed at its on-sale price of 69.99, but I cannot strongly recommend the bundle at its retail price of around $149.99 because of the somewhat lacking headset.

When I received this, my first thought was that it would be even better with a keyboard. But, then I remembered just how different keyboards can be with the various sizes and key styles. So, if you were looking to get someone something that just got a computer or wanted something more than just a decent mouse, this fits the bill. This is essentially a starting pack for anyone that wants to play on a computer without too much flair. The headphones don’t have any fancy lighting or settings like some do, but they provide exactly what is needed. Decent sound quality, some noise isolation so you can focus on the game and clear voice communications. With the standard 3.5.mm jack you can use them on anything with a headphone jack. I've been using mine more on the Xbox than PC lately, and they work great. There is volume and microphone mute on the left earcup. The mute has no real feedback other than realizing it is depressed for mute. There is color exposed when it’s not muted, but it sits on the back side of the earphones and is something you can only notice when removed. It takes some getting used to as I usually have a wire based mute/volume that you can look at, but those configurations also tend to create feedback on voice comms for some reason. The microphone seems to have some pretty aggressive noise cancellation as well, as my friends claim they can’t hear me or my words break up unless it is really close to my mouth. A good thing to help keep out background sounds. The mouse is lightweight and comfortable to hold. It really makes it feel smooth when combined with the Gigantus V2 mouse pad, listed as M for medium, but this is fairly big. The mouse works great just plug and play, but the real features of the mouse are unlocked when you install the Razer Synapse software and get into customizing it. You can change the color patterns, change the 8 button functions around and make additional profiles, stored to the mouse, that can be swapped with a button on the bottom. You can also change the stages in which the DPI button switches through from a crawling low DPI to a blazing 20,000 that just felt impossible to control, it moves so fast. Overall this is a great combo pack. Whether you were looking for a mouse or headphones, we all enjoy getting a little refresh on gaming equipment and Razer seems to bring it every time.

I play a handful of PC games and am always looking for new accessories to “up” my “low” gameplay. In the combo pack, I got the BLACKSHARK V2 X headset, GIGANTUS V2 mouse pad and the DEATHADDER V2 mouse. I’ll highlight the things I like (Good) & am a bit skeptical about (Meh), for each piece of the kit. BLACKSHARK V2 X: I noticed pretty quickly that my ears became warm during an hour or so of continuous play. With only a short 3.5mm non-removable cable, distance was an immediate concern. To extend the cable, an audio/mic splitter is included, but you need to light up each 3.5mm port. To me, that’s silly and I used a DAC that I had from my Logitech G Pro X. While it doesn’t solve the short cable issue, it does allow me closer access, as I can use a front USB port and not have to string a long cable to the back of the tower. There are no ridges for the headphone height adjustments to fall into. While this can be good, as there’s a more accurate fit - it’s a bit of an issue as it constantly needs slight adjustments to fit properly after taking them off, hanging them, putting them back on and so on. GIGANTUS V2 This medium sized pad is like glass. When combined with the DEATHADDER v2, it’s a seamless movement. Compare it to a whole-desk pad - this is insanely slick. Medium is noted as the size which is good - about 12x14 and encompasses the amount of space I need for FPS, which is my game of choice. Having an anti-slip grip is great as well, because I don’t like having to adjust the pad during play. DEATHADDER v2 A wired mouse that feels bigger than I’m used to, coming from a G604; lighter is an understatement. But it’s not bigger, it’s just angled differently, but it’s much lighter. The G604 drops off at the left/right click while the DEATHADDER v2 extends out straighter; this took some getting used to and my wrist felt it. Whether the new grip or position, I found much better accuracy in my games and that was a welcoming change, as I’m normally trash. I do have to say however, having only two buttons on the left/inside of the mouse is limiting, I use four with my G604. Add a few more mappable buttons inside and this is a 110% winner. During gameplay, I felt that the clicks were instantaneous and that’s an expectation with any wired gaming mouse. Moving to a more claw-like click action lessened the wrist strain and increased reaction time; LOVE IT. Software: RAZER Synapse runs alongside every other RGB / DAC that you may have running on your PC. Allowing you to remap EVERY key is great and control over the RGBs helps for those that are pickier than me.
