I have an older Acer C710-2847 and I love it. It's small compact, pretty fast and has been of great use to me on my many business trips since I bought it in 2012. I was looking to upgrade to something bigger as my main issue with the 11' screen is that the screen was too small for browsing and the sound was not good (terrible choice in placement of speakers). I also did a lot of research and I actually was going to wait for the new Toshiba Chromebook to be released this month but was debating the higher cost which I believe will run from $350+ for the two versions being released (that figure came from a Toshiba agent I had an online chat with). I really did not want to spend that much although I was quite excited about the new Toshiba offering a faster processor and a back lit keyboard (and some other good options). Most of my research was done online so I went to a Best Buy to actually test them all out. I went with the Acer mainly for three reasons: 1. The build quality - all of the other books felt cheap. The Acer felt very sturdy and the mouse pad felt very sturdier as well. I could see the Acer being a little too heavy for some if you are looking to pack light. 2. Very fast - this has been mentioned here a lot so I won't go any further. 3. Sound is great. My old Acer had speakers hidden under the laptop??? These sit on top and on the sides of the keyboard. The only draw back is that to make space for the speakers they had to keep the keyboard about the size same as you you'd see in their smaller books. The only cons I see is the color. Gets dirty but I keep mine in the dust cover it was packaged with when not in use. Small keyboard. Adding a back lit keyboard on future models would be a big plus. Maybe a little heavy for some but the Full HD bigger screen makes up for it. All in all, you can't beat the price for what you get. I paid $249. I love Chromebooks and I know I will get my moneys worth and more.

Both my children have a chrome book. It is a recommended device at their schools and is a good computer for them to do their homework assignments. A friend of mine has one and loves it more than her work computer

I do NOT know much about computers, but this one is simple to use, and lightweight. And, since I already have a Samsung phone, all of my Google information is readily available on either device.

Chromebook is great if you need a computer, but not necessarily a pc. Good for writing papers, browsing the web, and light file extracting.

I like the lightness of it and the things i can do.

We've had for about a month and my son loves it...easy to use and fast. Does everything that a 10year old needs to do for school and online. A great "first laptop" for any younger student

I needed a lap top simply for my kids to use to get on line and deliver school work. This chromebook is perfect for this and at a great price. Kids have loved it and there is peace at home.

I got this for my daughter when she left for college. It does the basics (internet browsing, word processing, etc through google docs, netflix & you tube) and does them quickly. I had initially looked at the windows laptops/tablets, but the affordable ones are somewhat underpowered (i.e. slow), while the more expensive ones are fast but have more computing power than she'll need anytime soon. I'm all about value and bang-for-the-buck, and this is it for $200. I'll probably end up getting one for myself.

I got this for mys sister for Christmas and it's been absolutely perfect for her. General purpose web browsing is what it does and it does it very well.

This little big man is my favorite computer. Great size and amazing speed. There is nothing to dislike about this terrific machine.

I really like this chromebook. The only thing I wish I would've known is some of my products aren't compatible because it doesn't have Window. Otherwise I use it for everything.

The computer has limitations as it only runs Chrome operating system. Also, it forces you to use certain Google applications. However, if you just want to surf the net this is a good and inexpensive option. Good display graphics.

Only had one little problem, one day I forgot to close lid and next day I could not get it to com on. Played with it to no avail took back to Best Buy. Guess what? They opened up the lid and been working ever time now. I guess you could say it was too cold here in house. Ha Ha.

I actually bought two of these for my daughters to be able to use for their school work. Their school is mostly switched over to Google's education apps, so it made sense to stay in that ecosystem. The laptops themselves seem to be of good quality and solidly built. The screens look great. Performance is fast and snappy. Setup, as expected, was a breeze.

I bought this for my mom (she's 79). She liked it because of its size (large screen) and it was cheap. She only needs it to check email and, to quote her, "surf the web." I just wish I realized (or was told) that there wasn't an ethernet port on the laptop when I bought it. I had to buy an adapter (on amazon because Best Buy doesn't sell it).

The Acer screen is crisp and clear. Response time is good. It's not too heavy,easy to move around. Holds charge well.

It's taking some time to get used to it since it's different than a windows laptop. But I like it that its fast and light weight to carry.

I needed to buy my mother in law a new laptop and decided to go with the chromebook for its ease of use. great product for a great price. no complaints

My old laptop was slow and unreliable so I replaced it with this chromebook. So happy I ddi. Very easy to use and fast. Great for surfing the web.

This a great computer for surfing the internet and video streaming. It's fast and very lightweight.
