When people think of high-end 14" laptops, they usually don't picture Acer as being a top contender. With the Razer Blade 14 and ASUS Zephyrus G14 leading the pack as the best premium 14" and as the best price to performance 14" respectively, can this Acer Predator Triton 14" keep up with the pace? The answer might surprise you. PROS: -2560 X 1600 16:10 QHD Resolution -Blazing Fast 250Hz refresh rate -miniLED with HDR 600 support -High/Max performance 4070 at 105W (max voltage is reached at about 100W) -Fast 14 core (6P + HT / 8E) CPU -Bright and well lit per RGB keyboard -Classy subtle design (doesn't look like a gaming laptop) -Good build quality that feels sturdy and premium -Strong hinges means the display does not wobble -Liquid metal on CPU and GPU -Quiet and cool under load! Especially in balanced gaming mode -Advanced Optimus with G-Sync -Customizable boot logo (gif or jpeg) -Fast 6000Mhz DDR5 RAM CONS: -USB4/Thunderbolt only supports 65W of USB-C PD charging. The USB-C PD charger must support 20V @ 3.25A (65W) or it will not charge. -Battery life is middling. Expect 3-4 hours of moderate use. -Speakers are average and underwhelming -Webcam is high resolution but lacks detail and is poor in low light -Built-in microphones are middling -Low amount of I/O ports (2 USB type A, 1 USB type C, 1 HDMI, one SLOW micro SD slot, 1 headphone/microphone combo jack) -No SSD cooler. Can throttle under heavy transfers -RAM is not upgradable In summary, I've very impressed by what Acer has to offer with the Predator Triton 14". I truly believe this device is overshadowed by other 14" gaming laptops when that shouldn't be the case! This is the QUIETEST 14" gaming laptop on the market with the performance to back it up! I'm rating the device 5 stars, because of it's benefits over the competition (display, cooling, low-noise, high performance), are astounding for the price! Don't look over this one! TimeSpy, temps in Baldurs Gate 3 after 30 minutes and additional information in pictures In the future, I'd like to see Acer make some changes: -AMD Ryzen instead of Intel for better battery life -Slower but upgradable SO-DIMM slots -Integrated SSD heatsink -Vapor-Chamber heatsink at this price range -Faster USB-C power delivery (at least 100W minimum) -Better webcam with clearer microphones

Great laptop when on sale. Battery life is right in the middle of the pack for this size. The best part is mini LED and 4070 powering this beast.
