I acquired two extra cats from my aunt when she passed away unexpectedly in July. My husband did not talk to me for a few days since I was essentially signing his death warrant. I bought this air purifier for our two bedroom apartment's living room and a cheaper one for the cat room. This machine has saved our family and the two orphaned cats. No allergic reactions so far.

Read reviews and decided to give it a try. Glad we did. It cleans the air and leaves everything feeling fresh. Loved this air purifier so much plan to buy another very soon.

I got this one particularly for cats room. I already own 2 Blueair purifiers for our bedrooms that I also got from Best Buy. Alen attracted me by the ability to customize the filter. I received the unit with HEPA filter that worked wonderfully until I decided to get OdorCell filter to combat my 2 kittens odors. No one can believe we have 2 kittens - our house smells so fresh. This unit looks very slick and modern, I won't call it silent, but it's not disturbing. I've tried to switch on Auto and noticed how fast and a bit loud it starts working at first until it clarifies the air. I usually run it on speed 2, and when my kittens are away from it, I run on Auto. Very simple to replace the filter and clean the unit. When I removed HEPA filter after 1 month of use, I've noticed a lot of cat hair stuck to the front - it shows how well it works cleaning the air from dust, dander, hair and allergens. OdorCell does the same, plus gets rid of all the bad smells. It covers large area as well, I believe slightly more than 1000 sq ft. We have open plan and it works well cleaning the air when I cook as well. Love it and highly recommend!!! I know, these brands are not cheap, but well worth. I've noticed, my daughter doesn't have severe seasonal allergic reactions anymore and house smells clean.

Have two BreatheSmart Air Purifier’s in different rooms of my home. I noticed different responses in both with the various changes of the environment. If cooking in the kitchen while auto is on the speed of the fan will pick up. In the bedroom while on auto the fan usually stays the same unless something changes the surroundings.

Got it for $120 off and it works great. Dust was a huge problem and now see very little. Allergies also a lot better. Can't recommend highly enough. Noise might be your only issue if running on MAX - doesn't bother me.

So my husband got in his mind that we needed a purifier after his boss said it changed his life. So after a lot of research we decided on the Alen Breath Smart. It has been a great buy. Yes pricy but we have noticed a huge difference in our air quality. Our purifier sits just outside our family room next to a wood end table. I would dust and within 2 days there would be a pretty substantial amount of dust there. With our new Alen it is almost 3 WEEKS till I feel I have to dust! Easy cleaning of filter makes it a quick task. Overall very satisfied!

I am allergic to dust so I don't clean as often as I should, at least that's what I tell my wife. =D The dust level has gone way down. The smells from cooking don't linger and the air is very fresh when I walk in. I'm sure this will also do great when pollen season comes back around.

I have two dogs and I purchased two of these for a two story home. They work extremely well and after a week or so, they finall went from red air quality to blue. The filters do an amazing job to help my wife and I breathe better. The auto feature is nice also, since it ramps up or down depending on the air. Keep I. Mind that the filter is mostly silent, but can get loud on high. The filters themselves lasted me a few months, I occasionally vacuumed the pet dander and hair off the pre-filter. Overall a great unit, and highly recommend.

When I research some air purifiers on the market, Alen air purifier came up and people say Alen is the most efficient and well-purchased air purifier recommended. Just like people say, I also enjoy my Alen air purifier and it is very great product.

I would have given it 5 stars but I feel it was pricey and the filters are too. Very light and easy to move around. So far there has been a decrease in dust and dander in my house. The real challenge will be in the winter time when I have the windows closed and the wood burning stove going.

I was hesitant to spend this sort of money on a air purifier, but after doing a ton of research I went ahead with it. We have it in our basement and noticed a difference within a day. I was worried the Auto feature was not going to work as advertised, but that seems to be running correctly also.

I had constant battles with sinus issues in my apartment, which was causing me to under-perform at work. . This filter cleared the air and now I can breathe normal again.

So far I am pleased with it. I am using it in an area double the size that it is recommended for, and it is in the basement, so I can't attest to exactly how great it is filtering. I don't have any specific allergies that I can notice any huge change. Our basement is very humid, so I just wanted to make sure that the air quality was good down there. I have to keep it on Turbo speed in order for the blue light (clean air) to stay on. Very light and nice looking. Just wish it wasn't so expensive; we will have to see if it is worth it, and how long the filter lasts.

My wife says she has really noticed a big difference. She doesn't smell a musky smell since we started using the purifier.

Helps keep us well. So much less sickness since we have this in our home.

I have named my Air purifier "Alen", not very a very clever name but it is an awesome air purifier. Very sensitive to smells in the house, from cooking, to the dogs, Alen is always aware when something changes the quality of the air around it. Blue light indicator glows when its is happy and red when its mad. You can hear and feel the difference quickly as it adjust in strength. A bit expensive but i was tired of not being able to get enough sq. ft. from lesser air purifiers. It also seems that the filters are going to be expensive to replace and require change more frequently than expected. Just because of the price point, i would give it 4.5 stars and not 5.
