The Aluratek universal trans./reciev. is Awesome!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Aluratek - Universal Bluetooth Audio Receiver and Transmitter is amazing ! It provides incredible flexibility in its input and output selection for audio. I have an older high end Alesis THX certified speaker system in my office that was made for use with computers. Because it's older, it presented some challenges with respect to connectivity problems with my iPad or iPhone. With this unit I can get a high-quality input signal transfer via Bluetooth and then send it to my system via a digital optical out and I get an incredible sound reproduction through the Alesis system. Wow, it's amazing and easy to hook up and like I said it sounds great !

My New Favorite Device!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Aluratek - Bluetooth Wireless Audio Extender – Black ---HIGHLIGHTS--- Long Range and Reliable Signal, Bluetooth 5.0 (apt x, apt x HD, apt x low latency), Easy to Operate, Capability to Connect Two Devices Simultaneously, Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver ---DESIGN and CONTROLS--- I found using this device to be very easy to figure out. The first step is to plug it in using the included 9-foot micro USB cable. Then connect the desired audio cable (optical or 3.5 mm). There are two main modes: Transmission (TX) and Receiver (RX). Once you decide what mode you want to use, you set the selector switch to the desired mode. Illuminated lights indicate the mode, input, and signal being received. I am mostly going to be using this device in transmission mode to stream sound to my Sony WH-1000XM3 wireless headphones from an older Denon receiver that sounds great but lacks Bluetooth capability. I am using a 1/4 to 3.55 mm audio adapter and was relieved that it worked because not all devices are compatible with adapters. There is a third bypass mode that allows this device to function as an audio converter without using the Bluetooth function. Included Accessories: Optical Cable, 3.5 mm Audio Cable, 9 Foot Micro USB Charging Cable, RCA to 3.5 mm Y Cable ---USE AND PERFORMANCE--- Once I put this device and my wireless headphones in pairing mode they connected instantaneously. Once paired, they both connected immediately every subsequent time that I used them. Once connected the pairing was rock solid and reliable. Two pair a second set of headphones was as simple as pairing the first. The sound quality was not only excellent, but also completely lag free. I could not tell the difference between listening wirelessly as opposed to listening wired on my Sony Headphones. The advanced apt x codecs will really make a difference if your headphones are apt x compatible. I immediately noticed the impressive signal strength and range of this Bluetooth transmitter. It is advertised as up 100 feet, and very impressively I had no problem receiving a signal anywhere in my two-story house. I am not going to use the Receiver mode at this time, but appreciate that it has the capability. ---BOTTOM LINE--- Get this device if you want the very best Bluetooth performance that is out there. Yes it is expensive, but it has the premium performance, range, and versatility to match the price. The transmitter in this device has at least double (maybe triple) the range of any other Bluetooth device that I have used. The superb sound quality and capability to use two pairs of wireless headphones at the same time, makes this my new favorite device!

Works perfectly! Amazing Device!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tested on an older TV and a newer smart tv. This device works better than I anticipated. Easy to use and understand. It works great with two headsets paired. It has long range, I can walk from the living room to the back room and still hear the tv. There is no latency! The audio runs perfectly in sync with the screen. I did my research when looking for a good Bluetooth transmitter and it lead me to this device. In my opinion, Best bang for your buck.

Long distance Bluetooth communication
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long distance Bluetooth communication. Set up fairly simple. I use mine to transmit to my headphones, but a second pair can receive the signal as well. I performed a range test by going outside to the farthest point in my yard. I concur it can transmit the 100-feet listed in the specs. The Aluratek Bluetooth has inputs say from your TV or computer that can be used to add a Bluetooth transmitter to a device that doesn't have one built in. But it can also receive Bluetooth audio. Say from your phone or laptop to an amplifier in the garage with attached speakers. Dual purpose. Okay, the only bad thing I have to say is why not supply a power brick? You are forced to find a USB power source, be it your laptop or another power brick or charger that the USB cable can be plugged into. The cord they supply is plenty long. For what it is designed to do, the Aluratek xmitter/receiver will do the job, clearly and without any latency in the video to audio sync.

Great Solution for Vintage Receivers and Optical
Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little device saved my stereo receiver from going the attic where all unused devices go to die. I can play audio from my phone on my stereo in RX mode and hear my TV audio in bypass mode. You can also listen to audio through a 3.5 mm jack or Bluetooth headphones in TX mode, but I have no need for that. I haven’t noticed any loss in audio quality from either input; I have excellent speakers and the audio sounds great. The Bluetooth pairing was simple and the device doesn’t automatically connect to your phone every time you’re nearby, therefore it doesn’t interfere with using other Bluetooth devices. It’s very light and I had to manipulate it and the cables to make it sit flush to the shelf. The package comes with a 3.5mm cable, RCA cables, a micro USB cable (no wall adapter and works well with my 5V 2A adapter) which isn’t mandatory as long as it’s sufficiently charged according to the manual, and a RCA Y cable. This device has everything you need to get set up. I ended up using all of them for my setup. Here’s some background info: I have a vintage JVC receiver that I love that only accepts RCA and CompuLink input. I needed a solution that would allow my receiver to accept the optical output of my LG TV (which as of 2019 is the only audio output, to my dismay) as well as Bluetooth audio. I searched online and nice of the solutions were both low profile and provided the in/outputs that I need. I didn’t think Best Buy would have this device because it’s more of a niche item. Surprisingly, they had it! I’m fact, my local store just opened back up from the lockdown and they had it in stock! The associates in the store didn’t even understand what was for... In any event, I love it and it does exactly what I need we’ll.

Works flawlessly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fairly easy set up. I use this to transmit my TV sound to my wireless headphones. Use the optical digital output of my TV. No sound lag. Pairing with headphones was simple. Range and size of transmitter not an issue. Maybe at high end of price point, but very satisfied.

Great Bluetooth Tool
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am using the Aluratek to connect an old stereo set with wired speakers to bluetooth speakers in other rooms. I also use it in receive mode to play music from an iPhone on the wired speakers. It paired easily with the Sony - SRS-XB32 Portable Bluetooth Speaker and to my iPhone. I am connecting to the the tape deck in/out connections on my stereo. They are RCA type jacks. The Aluratek comes with one set of RCA-to-3.5 mm jacks, but I bought another set so I could just flip the receive/transmit switch to change modes. Transmit mode with the Sony speaker: Sound quality was excellent. It worked all over our house -- maybe 45 feet distance. The Aluratek supports Apt-X high definition and low latency, but the Sony speaker does not. There is a delay in the bluetooth sound compared to the wired speakers. Of course, if you are in a different room, you don't notice it. I am currently looking for Apt-X bluetooth speakers, but have not purchased them, yet. Receive mode with iPhone: I have not done a lot with this, but it seems to work very well with excellent sound coming out of the stereo's wired speakers. Again, I was able to walk 45 feet away and the connection seemed fine. For my purposes this is an excellent bluetooth solution.

Good Bluetooth device with some glitches
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this so I could watch tv with my AirPods while on the treadmill. The sound is very good. Set up was easy. My only negative is that pairing can sometimes be tricky. My AirPods want to pair with my phone, so you’ll need to turn Bluetooth off on your phone. I also haven’t figured out how to adjust the volume. The tv remote doesn’t control that. Also, the tv volume has to be muted or the whole house will hear the tv and you’ll hear the sound like an echo

Excellent Working Device
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Aluratek to turn my non bluetooth home theater receiver into a bluetooth receiver and to be able to pair my bluetooth electronics with the receiver. It worked perfectly. The instructions were clear and I was quickly able to pair my phone to the receiver and play music from youtube. The same was true of other devices. another plus is the ability to stream my digital media up to 100 ft. While I did not not test the 100 ft, It did work well beyond the usual 33 ft. 50 to 70 ft. I have not used it as a transmitter yet but I am sure it will work. This unit was well worth the 75 dollars with tax I paid. New bluetooth home theater receivers start at 300 dollars.

Easy to use, long range, great sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this as a Bluetooth receiver for an older A/V receiver to listen to music and to control the volume on my phone. Overall, it has been great for our use. I use it with an Moto X4 which has the Bluetooth 5.0 along with an optical connection (which an optical cord is included). The sound does not sound compressed but make sure to use the AptX codec on your phone and the receiver. It is easy to use and easy to connect to your phone. Simply turn on the Bluetooth on your phone, press the Bluetooth button on the receiver twice, press ABCD5F and your phone should be connected. The range I needed was about 30 feet to reach our outdoor patio. I have no range issues so far. My only gripe with the device is the price but I was nervous by the reviews on the cheaper products. I feel it would be a better value at $50 but since it has been so reliable to this point, I'm glad I paid the extra money.

Nice little transmitter with a couple of quirks
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up because I was looking for a way to listen to my vinyl records in rooms outside of my family room without needing to get a whole turntable/powered speaker setup. This fit the bill and has so far worked very well. Pros: Small footprint Multi-device support Both TOSLINK and RCA connections Can be set in bypass mode to serve as a DAC Cons: No power brick Connecting to devices seemed to take a few tries Does not have a RCA to RCA cable included Very cheap TOSLINK cable Device setup is easy - simply take it out and plug it in. That is where the first con hit - you either need to plug it into a powered UISB port on your equipment or get an unused power brick to charge and/or power if you're not using it on battery. I had a few unused bricks, so I was OK as the equipment I was connecting it to did not have powered USB. Connecting to Bluetooth devices is more complicated, at least if you're connecting the transmitter to headphones or other receiving devices without screens. Basically you need to put the equipment in pairing mode, bring this unit close and power it up and cross your fingers. It took 3 or 4 tries for each of the 2 devices I was connecting it to (a Sony CT290 sound bar and a Douk Audio Preamp/DAC/Headphone amplifier). Initially, the transmitter did not go into paring mode so I had to double tap the Bluetooth button. Once connected, the connection was stable and the sound good. The device reconnects when I turn on the connected devices without issues. Note that if you don't have a device that supports APTX Low Latency, you will likely have issues with non-synced sound. This was not a problem for me because I am not using this for headphones while viewing movies and TV. Once connected to the Bluetooth devices, I connected the unit to the Zone 2 output of my Onkyo receiver and powered it up. It connected to both Bluetooth devices and I could select the turntable under Zone 2 and listen in both remote rooms simultaneously. The sound over Bluetooth is good, especially for casual listening. Overall I would recommend this to add Bluetooth capability to amplifiers and receivers that do not have that built in. While the setup can be hit-or-miss at times, once connected it stays connected. You might not want this if you plan to watch movies over headphones or need to connect to more than 2 devices regularly.

Great sound quality - Long Range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to connect an older high quality audio receiver (2000) via Bluetooth. It has fiber TOS output to connect digitally which is convenient and the best quality connection to my receiver. It receives Bluetooth from anywhere in the house which is really convenient. I have my turntable downstairs in my house and connect that to my laptop via USB and my laptop connects cleanly to this device clear across my home. Sound quality is outstanding and it takes advantage of the newer hi def Bluetooth options that my laptops supports. My iPhone connects to this device from anywhere in the house. I haven’t used the transmit function; only receive but am very happy with this device.

Well worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the one that I picked up after another cheaper version did not work. This has optical for audio. This worked with older tvs that I have. Hooked up a Bose Soundtocuh 10 to my tv, using bluetooth. Did not want a soundbar that would make a lot of noise. Wanted loud sound next to me so it was loud where I was sitting and not across the whole room. Worked perfectly. Will take some time to get it to connect though....different times to connect depending on the bluetooth speaker. Tested it also inanimate old TKD speaker, which has older bluetooth version. It is about 5 years old, compared to the newer Bose Soundtouch 10

Making something old, new again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this transmitter to connect my old IPod classic to a new pair of Beat headphones which I received for Christmas. The process was very easy, using the cables provided, and the sound quality was very impressive. Thanks for allowing me to fall back in love with my iPod classic, by making it Bluetooth ready.

Great way to add Bluetooth!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great! Adds Bluetooth to non Bluetooth equipment. The only complaint I have is if this is hooked up to a TV and your connecting a Bluetooth speaker the lag between the two can be distracting when what you see in screen for voice match doesn't in sync to what your hearing but I can't blame this for that because it was designed to take a signal and make it Bluetooth. It doesn't do that with everything but it is very noticable with something on YouTube. And I wish it was a little cheaper on price. A little spendy for what it is but it does what it's supposed to do with no glitches.

Pretty good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like it.. pretty easy to use. I originally bought it for my Bluetooth headphones to listen to music and then tried it with my TV works great for both. I'm a musician and thought it would be good to use while recording but noticed a bit of latency So not so good for that. I do like it but wish it had an on and off switch.
