I wish I would have ditched cable for this long ago. I thought getting this might be sacrificing some viewing options but thought I’d try it for the price to see if I could save some money. I found that not only do I save a significant amount of money every month but also have more choices for viewing than I had before using this with Hulu plus Live tv, and Netflix. The remote is easy to use and the voice command has always worked great.

I liked the speed and the picture quality of this FireTV. Unfortunately the ethernet port has been removed and an additional adapter is required.

I really like this unit. It is better than the Firestick because it is 4k and much more powerful/fast.

This is an upgrade from a older version 3 fire TV, this one is very fast and the picture looks great.

I reluctantly upgraded from my 2014 Fire Stick which still worked ok but I caught the Fire TV on sale so figured why not? I appreciate the speed of the fire tv and the option for Alexa even though I barely use it. I still have not figured out how to add my VPN without paying for an app but otherwise no complaints. In a twist of fate, I received an Appletv 4k for free right after making this purchase and I use it more because the prime app is available. However, for the money the firetv will get the job done if all you are used to is a fire stick.

I bought this for my kids room. It has awesome picture quality. Easy to setup and easy to use.

What I like: 1. Fast. Much more so than the stick 2. Fairly portable. Not sure about shape, but still small enough to transport What I don't like: 1. Price. Thankfully it's been on sale a lot, so if you get one wait for a sale, but definitely not worth the price of a full scale fire TV when you compare it's features to the previous gen. Overall, a worthy purchase if you can get it for the $35/$40 sale price.

no telling how many of these I've bought over the years for gifts, home, children... never once had a problem. They last forever. Update automatically. And great price. One of the best things about this is we bought a Vizio smart tv that limited what apps we could get, so we just hooked up the Amazon fire. Problem fixed. Great price and worth every penny.

I wanted a fire tv because it has more memory and the one I purchased in the past, came with an internal Ethernet port. But amazon took away the Ethernet port and now you need to purchase an additional adaptor which honestly ruined the product for me because I don’t believe the fire sticks and fire tv get the best use on a wireless signal. They work, but not at their best. I since then purchased an Ethernet adaptor and am enjoying it very much. So far no issues.

If your looking for streaming, fire tv 4K is the one your looking for, faster streaming, 4K quality and easy connects to all your device.

I finally decided to get the fire tv i got two of them, so far so good. just wish i was able to get local channels. so for now still have my cable. deciding which way to go either keep basic cable for local channels or get rid of cable all together.. i have netflex and direct tv now i am able to watch. I got the fire tv instead of the fire stick cause it is able to be used on a 4k tv which will be my next tv.

I got this thinking I had to have it to get the aps off the internet. If you have a smart tv you don't necessarily need it BUT it is good to use still so you can get a BIGGER variety of aps, not just the ones the tv maker has deals with.
