I absolutely love this 4k streaming device , as it has met every need I've could've asked for. Great 4k pix, speed and reliability with the Wi-Fi! Lacks a Ethernet port but the Wi-Fi works great without it.

Fast Great connection and works great on 4k tv and super fast

I got the Amazon Fire tv because of 4K and it works great. Works just as seamlessly as the firestick.

I love this smaller than 1st generation one and much faster.

I was on the fence about this item And wasn't sure if I wanted the roku more. I finally decided to give this one a try and I am very glad that i did. It works great and it's easy to use. I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels rooms so the fact that I can connect this in the hotel without calling Tech Support is one of the best features

Upgraded from the fire stick. Love the performance and 4K.

Unlike many who had the old version of the Amazon Fire TV, I am a newbie. Saw the old version on a TV shopping channel and decided to do price comparison on Amazon. When I saw that Amazon launched this new version, the 4K ULTRA HD FIRE TV, we ordered it that day. I was concerned that it would be hard to set up or confusing to use. It is not. It was quite easy. Instructions are straight forward. We do not have an Alexa (yes, we maybe the only family who doesn’t ) so we had to remember to hold down the button and speak. How easy is that to do? No more scrolling through channels and trying to press the buttons to try to punch in programs, or movies. You just hold the button down and speak. There are so many choices of movies, specials, sports, and programs that there are not enough hours in the day to watch them. As an Amazon Prime customer most of them are free. This little gadget will change how you watch TV. It is a game changer.

Fire TV was easy to install. Very happy with my Fire TV. Able to get a lot of movies & TV recorded programs. Great picture on my 4K High Dynamic Range (HDR) TV. I would recommend the Fire TV to all my friends.

I have a 4K Roku as well, and I believe the Fire tv has a better user interface and picture. Also, I have yet to get any buffering or reduced stream quality like I occasionally see with the Roku. The only downside is no Vudu app. You can work around this by linking Movies Anywhere to your Vudu account, But I have about 10 movies that must be Vudu exclusives or something, because they don't show up in Movies Anywhere.

Good stream device. 4K and small and compact.........

Got one to compare to the Roku i was currently using and i was very impressed! It seemed like it scaled a lot more apps to full screen vs the black bars on the top and bottom like the roku did on some apps. Plus i use the amazon echos in the house and its nice to voice command to change apps. Bought a 2nd one for the bedroom.

Nice upgrade over last gen firestick it is definitely noticeable faster and fluid. This one is 4K but you must subscribe to 4K content via Netflix or any available series or movies in Amazon Prime Video to stream 4K content. From what I've read online Hulu does not support 4K yet, (as of 9-1/18). YouTube also provides a 4K channel with a variety of short videos. Remember, you must have a 4K compatible TV, and quality wifi to stream 4K content. Purchasing this model of the firestick will prepare you for the future if you can find it at a much cheaper price point on sale (like I did, $35 sale minus $10 reward certifcate for a $25 total). What up!!! Otherwise I would stick to the last gen firestick.

This item would be receiving a five star had it not been a replacement for the older 2015 FireTV. Faster menu and snappier than the new Fire Stick TV. Has HDR which the older Fire TV did not have, also does put TV into 4k mode unlike the older Fire TV didn't until you actually played 4k content. Has support for Amazon Dot and the like.

4K quality picture is excellent!! Small and sleek!

My current TV does not work with Amazon video service. This is a great device that overcomes this limitation. It's tiny and the picture is great. In addition there's a lot of applications that are available besides Amazon videos. These include various broadcast Networks, YouTube and other video services.

We have both the old Fire TV and new Fire TV, and in comparing the two, I'm just as happy with the new version as I was with the old. The new Fire TV hasn't gotten stellar reviews (at least on Amazon), but it's great. Lots of storage, great picture, no streaming lags, Alexa compatible. I recommend!
