This model has an excellent screen resolution and size. Very easy to use and navigate the functions. Web browser works great. The backlight is super helpful and does great in the sun for outdoor reading. It's small and lightweight size make it easy for me to carry in my purse. I would recommend this to anyone

I had purchased the original kindle s few years ago and in December sprang for the new kindle paper white. I thought I might have been wasting money but it is definately an improvement to the original. It's lighter and so much clearer to read from. It's easier to read in dark situations or on flights at night. I love the differences the new improved kindle provides.

I love my kindle and I practically bring it everywhere. It last weeks without charging and I love the backlight feature because I like to read before bed. You can send PDF/ebooks directly to your kindle by email attachment, so you don't really need a computer to do so. And when your connected to wifi it would automatically dl.

My 1st generation Kindle broke and I decided to replace it. The back light was the one thing missing from my first Kindle. The back light, long battery life, lightweight and ability to store 1000s of books made this an excellent choice for me. I almost never leave home without it.

I recently bought it and it was my first kindle. Previously seen the color version (kindle fire) & comparing the kindle paper white vs other tablets I like that you can read ebook only so there is no distraction. Usually when I grab an iPad or any smart tablet the least I do is read since there so many other things you can do. The kindle paper white will put you to read the minute you grab it leaving the last page you left off on your ebook. It's light Very clear (easy on your eyes) Back light for night use( adjustable brightness) Comparing all the models this one was the best pick for the money.

This is a great reader for children or adults, students, or just for pleasure. It's small, lightweight, easy to transport. It performed as expected based on the product description and reviews. It met or exceeded my expectations. I can use it at the pool, at the beach, in the house, in low light situations. I love my Kindle Paprewhite.

I bought this for an employee of mine. She loves it. It is light compact and allows her to carry tons of books with her. She is huge book reader so this is a must for anyone that is a big reader. She always thinks it is really easy to read also with the white background.

The Paperwhite is my second Kindle. The back lighting and the ease of operation are big enjoyments and differences from my last (old) Kindle. The smaller size took a little getting used to, but, now it seems very comfortable. Very easy to personalize as well.

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter and she loves it. Easy to read and stores all of her books. My only complaint is that it feels slow and sluggish when transitioning from one screen tk the next. Even turning the page feels slow. Not sure if it has a setting to change this but its a noticeable difference between this device and the kindle fire both with out of the bix settings. My daughter doesn't mind it and prefers the screen on the paperwhite for reading. Battery life is fantastic, its so good you can go on a weekend trip and leave the charger at home.

I have used the Kindle app on an iPad and Android tablet and phone and I love it. This is my first Kindle device, so I can't compare it to previous Kindle versions. The only drawback to using the Kindle app on the previoulsy-mentioned devices is that they can't be seen in direct sunlight. And that is the biggest advantage I see to owning a Kindle--you can read outside in daylight. Also, the kindle is very light and portable and easy to use. It does what it says it will do and you can't beat the battery life. The X-ray feature is also a bonus that you don't get with the app.

The Kindle Paperwhite is reliable, holds a charge for weeks, is lightweight and easy to hold, allows you to read in bed at night without eye strain or bothering anyone (because of the backlit surface), and stores hundreds of books. What can I say? I love my Kindle, and this one was the second I have bought...this one as a gift for an elderly parent. She loves it! The font is easy to adjust for people who need large print. I take my Kindle everywhere so I am never bored whether I am waiting in the doctor's office or stuck in an airport overseas..

The paper white screen is super clear and easy on the eyes, making reading a pleasure in any light. The touch controls are intuitive and easy to learn. Books load fast. The battery life has been great! If you're looking for an eBook, this is it.

The Kindle Paperwhite is easy to read in daylight outside is shining as well as in the dark. I no longer need a reading light at night to enjoy my books. The battery lasts several weeks between charges. I would recommend this unit to friends!

With my love of turning paper pages in a book and not being a techie, I held off rushing into buying one of the many tablet readers available. I spent quite a bit of time reading reviews and talking to others before making my decision, and I am so glad I did my research. What I like most about the Kindle Paperwhite: the adjustable screen lighting is spot on and easy on my eyes, whether I am reading in dim room light or bright sunshine outside; the ease of syncing it with my computer and wifi; the speed of downloading a book; the ability to adjust the font size; the ability to bookmark and pick up from where I stopped reading; and the size and weight which makes it very portable. I opted for an envelop-style sleeve for storage rather than a cover you might use for an iPad or similar tablet. It's easy to slip the reader out of the sleeve and begin reading. I am thrilled with this device and give it two thumbs up. For me, there is no substitution for the feel of real paper, but this reader comes close.

I was tired of reading books on my iphone 7 plus - the screen is too small and the phone too heavy. After receiving the Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas, I find myself easily reading books much more often. It is much easier to read. I used to have a Barnes & Noble Nook that wasn't backlit. I am so happy to have an e-reader that has a backlight for the times I do read in lower or no lighting. It is a great size and weight. Easy to download books from Amazon or digital loans from my local library.

I love my Kindle Paperwhite! It's very easy to use and lightweight. The best part is that I can read it outside during the day or late at night in bed. It's easier on my eyes than reading from the Kindle ap on my phone.

I have a 2nd generation Kindle and1st generation Kindle Fire. I hardly use those now. I also have an iPad mini, and an iPad Air. I like the Kindle Paperwhite because it's just for reading and so small, it hardly takes up any room in my purse. I enjoy reading novels on the Kindle PW especially with the backlight, more than I like reading on my iPad now.

Great reader. My Kindle is my version of Linus' safety blanket - can't sleep without it. It's lightweight and easy to operate, reliable as a good pair of work boots, and I love the battery life too.

Very happy with my new Paperwhite Kindle which replaces an older model that kind of went on the fritz. The Paperwhite is smaller, lighter and much easier to read than the model it replaces.

This is the most perfect e-reader. It is the perfect size. It also has flawless readability with adjustable back lighting. It's fluid and responsive and lightweight enough to be comfortable yet solid enough to feel sturdy and well made. The power consumption/battery life is also wonderful. It is perfect for readers. For those who do not read much, you will become a reader after buying one. This is concentrated non-distracting portable access to knowledge.
