One of the best gaming CPUs

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is a CPU with low-power consumption, that delivers exceptional gaming performance while remaining acceptable for productivity workloads as well. The CPU's high amount of L3 V-cache helps to mitigate micro-stuttering from 1% and 0.1% fps lows to create a smooth gameplay experience. That said, I've tested this processor out in Death Stranding, The Witcher 3, and Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p, and the games run flawlessly without any noticeable dips in frame-rates.
The cooling requirements for this CPU is also relatively low, so you can get away with using low-profile cooler. I'm running the 5900X3D with a "be quiet! Pure Loop 240mm AIO" and my ambient temperatures have stayed below 40 degrees C, while intense gaming would see it climb to the mid 70s (well below the thermal limit of 90 degrees).
Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. I use my rig for both gaming and productivity apps, and "upgraded" from a previous R9 5900X. The 5800X3D won't beat out the best workstation processors available in terms of speed and multitasking capabilities. But, it's a great CPU that suits my needs for gaming, plus machine learning and rendering.

Upgraded from a 3800x to the 5800x3d, after bios update, dropped it in, and immediately noticed a difference in performance. Whole system is alot snappier. I have it paired with an evga 3080 12gb. Mw2, high settings, no dlss, 1440p, went from 160fps to right around 200, without dipping under 190. Cpu runs pretty cool with my deepcool ak400 daro zero plus air cooler. During gaming, temps hang around the 66c to 69c. Cinebench r23, the highest temperature it reached was 74c. All i do is gaming on my pc, so this cpu is a good investment with some fast RAM and a decent gpu.

I would definitely 100% recommend this processor especially if you are new or on a budget. I have had my desktop up and running for about a month now. Since then I have been able to play every game at max settings except for fortnite but fortnite is weird graphically so it’s fine. This product is also great for if you need to edit videos and export them pretty quickly.

Monster Gaming CPU

Monster of a gaming CPU. I originally had my RTX 4070 Ti paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X and I noticed I was bottlenecked in quite a few games. I was very skeptical about upgrading to the 5800X3D especially at 1440p but im glad I did. With DLSS taking load off the GPU, tasking the CPU to spit out as many frames as quickly as possible, that's where the 5800X3D comes to life.
At native 1440p its only been a 2% improvement vs my 5600X... but using DLSS its been a 20-25% improvement over the 5600X.
1% lows are also substantially approved across the board.

Super fast CPU for gaming. But runs pretty hot. Was pegged at 90c while gaming on air cooling. Upgraded to an AIO liquid cooler and temps are now 65-70c while gaming. Recommended for gamers still on the AM4 platform.

Updraged from a ryzen 5 3600 to this beast of a chip and im never looking back. Its exceeding my expectations for gaming preformance and when paired with my 3070ti, I cant find a game where im not getting 100+ frames at 1440p. Tarkov is my main game and before I was hitting mid 60-70 but now in pushing 110+ on all maps. (streets included)

Still a fast CPU even today. It is good for gaming, not necessarily for heavily multithreaded applications (rendering etc.) that call for high clock speeds. A great last hurrah from AMD on the AM4 socket

Runs a bit on the hot side even while idle but the v-cache is what makes it run hotter and from the research I’ve done it’s supposed to run hot at around 90C during heavy workloads and intense gaming, it will not throttle and ever go above 90C

Excellent processor that took my gaming and pc to another level. You always pay a little more at brick and mortar stores but I'm an impatient person and my purchase was definitely worth an extra twenty bucks.

This is the best slot in upgrade for an AM4 based AMD build out there. This will get 3-5 more years of top performance life out of the build and make it easier to upgrade without bottlenecks.

If you are trying to get the last breath out of AM4 Platform and you mainly game in 1080p this is the upgrade for you. I did a good amount of research but the average fps and 1% lows still surprised me, simply night and day compared to my 2700x.
